Adrian: This seems much, much more on track. Now you have a compelling speech that uses a strong narrative.
So that I can grade this, please tell me your intended ethos, pathos, audience, and audience goal (what you want the audience to do) for what you've done. Send me this via e-mail and then I'll go back and grade what you've done.
While you're still not clear on what "pathos" means (it's the emotion that you want the audience to feel; "ethos" is the character of the speaker), you've got the other three AND you have a solid speech here, one that uses a story in a compelling way. I urge you to use this one as the basis for what you post on Zentation; in mind mind, it's the stronger of the two.
